Safety 1st Australia have introduced a new car seat - the Protector.

The Protector Review

I was eager to install the new Protector car seat made by Safety 1st Australia as their goal was to make safety simpler for parents.

I was pleased to learn that straight out of the box the Protector car seat was read to install with no initial setup steps, it also goes from rearward to forward facing in just one easy step. This car seat will make any parent feel confident they have installed it correctly. The instructions are clear and simple to understand. There is no headrest adjustment to worry about and the height markers make it easy to identify when your growing child needs belts adjusted.

The protector is suitable for children 0-4years, so it can be used by both of my boys who are 2 & 4. They tried the seat out straight away and both claimed it as their size and their seat.

A key feature I found is the seat has plenty of leg room rear facing, this means babies can stretch out and stay rear facing for longer, research shows it is the safest position.

The taller shell means my children’s head are very well protected, my boys are both in the 90th percentile in height so this is an important feature to me.

The subtle recline on the car seat makes it a very comfortable car seat to sleep in for my children and versatile in any car from the upright seat in the territory to the relaxed seat in my FGX.

Finally the racing car box the car seat comes in is a lot of fun for the whole family.

Available in stores April 30.
